Kendriya Vidyalaya Lohaghat was started in a temporary building from class I to class V on February 24, 2004 in the building provided by the District Panchayat. At present the school is a single section school from class I to XII (Science)..

New building of Vidyalaya is under construction, situated in Chamania, Lohaghat. New building of Vidyalaya is about 5 km away from Lohaghat Bus Stand.
